Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage high-volume workloads are essential. Qualifications typically include a Bachelors degree in English, Journalism, or Communications, along with proven experience in strategic and internal communications. Equivalent education and experience will be considered. Experience in police or emergency services is an asset. Responsibilities include managing communications initiatives, advising senior officials, planning events, creating communication tools, writing materials, engaging stakeholders, maintaining the SMS website and social media, and responding to public and media inquiries.
