The incumbent will be responsible for supporting the Director, Promotions, nofrills in tailoring activities to nofrills strategy with the goal of contributing to sales and market share growth through conducting historical analysis and monitoring the execution and results of nofrills promotional programs.Accountabilities:Promotion PlanningMaintain and update the Merchandising Calendar & Instructions as required and communicate program details to both internal and external stakeholders (Category Team, Promo & Allocations Team and Franchisees)Assist in creating the weekly and maintaining flyer cell assignments i.e. front page, inside page, programs and analytics to support the decisionUse historical sales data and the promotional effectiveness tool, model profitability scenarios in order to identify and communicate opportunities for improved promotional sales and profitabilityConduct promotion specific historical analysis to assist in item selection, provide recommendations on most profitable category to highlight and appropriate price pointsMonitor execution and results of all promotions and in store programsPromotion ExecutionVerify the flow of data in Promotional SystemsConfirm planning timelines have been met by category teamReporting – review daily sales report to verify data integrity, conduct comparison review to previous year’s resultsCompetitive review – do a comparison review, highlight issues and opportunitiesResponsible for requesting and set up of program #’s, theme codes, and coupons as requiredProofing item pricing and completion of items in flyer, compared to BY RequirementsPost-secondary education – Business or Retail related programsPrevious experience in retail operations an assetAbility to contribute to promotional programs in line with nofrills strategiesIntermediate computer skills required (Microsoft suite, specifically Excel).Ability to work in a highly organized manner where attention to detail and accuracy are critical.Experience with Loblaw systems preferred (JDA ADV, Blue Yonder, Micro-strategy, ABI, SAP).Excelled interpersonal and communication skills.Ability to work effectively autonomously and contribute effectively as part of a team.Our commitment to Sustainability and Social Impact is an essential part of the way we do business, and we focus our attention on areas where we can have the greatest impact.
