Facility Information Cariboo Memorial Hospital (CMH) is a Level 2 Community Hospital in Williams Lake with 28 inpatient beds, offering ER, OR, Med‑Surg, and Obstetrical units, a lab, diagnostic imaging, and an outpatient Hemodialysis Unit. CMH is undergoing renovation with a projected 2026 completion. The redevelopment includes an addition of 25 inpatient beds (total 53), a new emergency department, and a mental‑health unit. As a Hospitalist at CMH, you will work in the acute inpatient medicine setting and serve as the most responsible physician (MRP) for complex medical and co‑management of surgical patients, as well as palliative care. You will receive excellent support from other CMH specialists and family physicians. The CMH Hospitalist program supports the complex and diverse medical needs of our patients in a collaborative environment. You will work 8 hours a day, seeing an average of 12‑16 inpatients per shift. Participation in after‑hours call is mandatory. We are excited to add new graduates or experienced Hospitalists to our team in Williams Lake. Locums are welcomed. Leadership Development Opportunities are available with Interior Health’s NAVIG8 Program, a comprehensive leadership development program for physicians. Compensation Clinical Service Contract. Estimated remuneration for a full‑time hospitalist: $336,162.00 per year plus MOCAP level 2. Benefits and Incentives May be eligible for additional remuneration in accordance with the Rural Subsidiary Agreement (RSA), including: Retention Premium: 12.32% Retention Flat Fee: $19,092 Relocation Funding Available: $9,000 - $15,000 Recruitment Incentive: $15,000 (based on 1.0 FTE) Other rural incentives are subject to change and current rates are confirmed at time of offer.
