The hospital is a Level 2 Community Hospital with 28 inpatient beds and is undergoing a redevelopment that will add 25 beds, a new emergency department, and a mental‑health unit. The CMH Hospitalist program supports complex medical needs in a collaborative environment. Role and Responsibilities Work in an acute inpatient medicine setting as a most responsible physician (MRP) for complex medical conditions and co‑management of surgical patients. Provide palliative care and support for patients throughout the hospital. See an average of 12–16 inpatients per 8‑hour shift. Participate in mandatory after‑hours call. Qualifications New graduate or experienced hospitalist in family medicine or internal medicine. Strong teamwork orientation and dedication to quality improvement. Willingness to work within the rural community of Williams Lake. Leadership Development Leadership development opportunities are available through Interior Health’s NAVIG8 Program, a comprehensive program for emerging medical leaders. Compensation and Benefits Clinical service contract with estimated annual remuneration of $336,162 plus MOCAP level 2. Additional remuneration may be available under the Rural Subsidiary Agreement (RSA), including retention premiums, relocation funding, and recruitment incentives.
