The Payroll & Subcontractor Administrator position is located in Kitchener, Ontario and reports directly to the Accounting Supervisor. A Little About You: You're comfortable working with numbers - you could even say that numbers are your thing. You have familiarity with payroll best practices and perhaps have experience with unionized labour. You are a self-motivated problem solver who thrives within deadlines. Your attention to detail is second to none. You are an effective communicator and collaborate well with others. You have the ability to manage time effectively and efficiently, and can adjust quickly to changing priorities and conditions. Your positive attitude and calm demeanour can help you solve whatever problem the day may throw your way. Your Role and Essential Job Functions: Payroll Administration Prepare and review weekly unionized hourly payroll; Complete monthly union remittances; Record and track various labour statistics; Liaise with the Health, Safety & Environment team to prepare WSIB incident forms and track safety certificates; Procurement of Subcontractor Services Complete subcontractor pre-qualifications and annual re-qualifications; Create, issue, and manage purchase orders for subcontractor services; Ensure purchase orders are issued seamlessly and meet the needs of the internal requesters; Act with the best interest of Roberts Onsite at all times; Other duties as assigned. Education and Experience Requirements: Post-secondary diploma or degree in payroll, accounting or related discipline. 2+ years of experience in a related position. For over 85 years we have been delivering electrical, mechanical, millwrighting, and rigging expertise for all types of building services, and process machinery installations. The expected salary range for this role is between $45,000 - $65,000 CAD per year. The starting salary will be determined based on several factors such as the successful candidate’s qualifications, including but not limited to education and experience.
