Automation Test Engineer

Automation Test Engineer We are seeking a skilled Automation Test Engineer to join our QEA team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Automation testing using Selenium and Java. This role requires a hands‑on approach to designing, developing, and executing automation test scripts with a deep understanding of testing methodologies, tools, and frameworks for both new and existing systems for our banking clients. In this role, you will Designs, develops, and maintains automated test frameworks and test scripts for Java/Spring-based applications using Java, Selenium, TestNG/Junit, Cucumber and REST Assured for API Automation. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to gather and analyze requirements for testing and automation projects. Implement automation testing using Selenium and Java to enhance testing efficiency and coverage. Perform functional, integration, regression, component, contract and end‑to‑end testing for new features and existing applications. Conduct API testing to validate the functionality and performance of software interfaces. Utilize Jenkins for continuous integration and delivery ensuring seamless deployment of applications. Monitor and report on testing progress identifying and resolving any issues that arise during the testing process. Collaborate with development teams to troubleshoot and resolve defects ensuring timely delivery of high‑quality software. Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide updates on project status and testing outcomes. Required skills: what you need to be considered Overall 4-6 years of experience as an Automation Test Engineer with Java, Selenium, Cucumber. Strong programming skills in Java for writing automated test scripts. Experience in designing, implementing, and running test cases for functional and UI testing. Good experience with API testing using Postman and Rest Assured. Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins or GitLab CI. Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile. Individual Contributor with good communication skills.
