Your mission will be to: We are specifically seeking candidates with prior poultry industry experience, particularly those who have worked in Quality Assurance (QA) roles within Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) environments. A strong understanding of poultry processing standards, food safety protocols, and QA systems applicable to fast-paced foodservice operations is highly valued. Purpose (Objective): This position has responsibility to ensure the quality and reliability for assigned projects, support key suppliers and direct related commodities in the United States and Canada. Main activities Ensures that existing suppliers and distributors of food and packaging to the one or several RBI brands Restaurant System maintain RBI QA standards and meet RBI QA and industry quality, food safety, and regulatory requirements. Supports, advises, and works directly with RBI QA corporate teams, RBI Supply Chain, RBI Marketing and Innovation and RBI Ops teams or any other stakeholder involved in the RBI QA Program execution (including RBI’s franchisees, master franchisees, designated Purchasers personnel and organizations or other RBI QA Vendors) to drive profitable business growth and increase guests satisfaction in RBI brands products. Works closely with suppliers to develop, specify and support the launch of new products with the highest food safety and quality standards. The position can be focused in one region, in one RBI brand or category or a combination or multiple regions, brands or categories, as determined by RBI QA. Monitors and improves product safety and quality of the existing food and packaging products and suppliers, through audits, specifications, complaint programs and other RBI Quality Assurance systems and processes. Certifies facilities and qualifies products of new suppliers on the production of food products to RBI standards. Provides in-plant support for new product launches and advises Product Development and Supply Chain teams. Supports the implementation of new products during rollouts. Monitors, investigates, and follows up on product complaints. Supports enquiries from health authorities/enforcement agencies. Works in multidisciplinary projects to enhance food safety, quality, profitability and other related matters with all RBI business functions (Development, Ops, Mktg, SCM) and Franchisees, supporting the QA function internally and externally. Works with the RBI QA corporate leadership and team on issues and projects related to driving global consistency, food safety, regulatory and quality worldwide in the RBI brands systems. Any additional duties that might be required by Merieux NutriSciences or RBI. Communication Internal Interlocutors: Quality and Operation teams. External Interlocutors: Regular contact with RBI employees and leadership. YOUR PROFILE Knowledge: Profile (required education/qualification and professional background): BA/BS degree in food science, sciences, or related field., 3-4 years of relevant work experience. The RBI QA Commercialization Manager (QA Comm. Mgr.) is embarked in a structured program of onboarding, initiation and annual performance review in order to be capable of approving in RBI’s system (SPEQ) intermediate milestones approvals within the approval or monitoring process of commodities and suppliers (for example SPEQ QA SME approval of specifications, SPEQ certification of facilities, SPEQ approval of Raw Material suppliers and any other intermediate approval as determined by RBI QA). For those RBI QA Program workflows where an official document is issued by RBI (for example an Approval Letter issued to a Supplier), any of those intermediate approvals where the QA Comm. Mgr. is eligible to approve, on behalf of RBI, must have at certain end of its workflow (of a commodity, a facility, a supplier corporate or any other end-to end process within RBI QA Program) a final approval executed by an RBI corporate representative. The QA Comm. Mgr. position is not authorized to perform any final approval or equivalent, which is exclusive to RBI corporate teams. Required skills Poultry plant experience is preferred.
