This role is with UPS and involves leading Healthcare Quality Assurance activities to ensure regulatory compliance and uniform interpretation of the Healthcare Quality System across distributed operations. The Healthcare QA Manager oversees communications with internal groups, clients, and federal/local agencies, and maintains procedures and documents to ensure regulatory compliance. This position is responsible for Healthcare Compliance (QA) oversight of the Burlington 2 and Calgary healthcare facilities, including projects, and management of quality team members (Supervisor(s) and/or Specialist(s)). Job Details Job Type: Full-Time | Permanent Location: Burlington, ON Work schedule: 8:30am to 5:00pm Compensation range: $6,626/month - $7,454/month Responsibilities Manage and conduct internal group consultations and investigations regarding healthcare issues to ensure healthcare compliance with rules and regulations. Review policies, procedures, regulations, and work instructions with clients to determine specialized requirements and ensure compliance. Interact with regulatory agencies to interpret rules, determine licensure requirements, and submit required reports and correspondence. Conduct follow-ups with agencies after inspections to meet agency requirements. Oversee the writing and revision of SOPs and/or WIs to incorporate agency regulations and ensure proper procedures are followed by Operations personnel. Plan and implement training programs and materials to train QA and internal clients on SOPs, WIs, and regulatory topics. Manage resources and people processes to ensure day-to-day administration of processes and formal procedures. Hold others accountable to established performance levels and motivate teamwork. Coach others and provide ongoing feedback to improve performance. Prepare for internal and client audits by gathering information, scheduling, and distributing reports. Conduct internal audits, document findings, implement corrective and preventive actions, and maintain audit records. Perform gap analyses and document results to determine and implement corrective actions for deviations. Implement change control procedures, training, and audits; participate in writing and revising procedures identified through the validation process. Oversee compliance to facility programs (e.g., pest control, sanitation, calibration, environmental monitoring). Conduct quality system management reviews at defined intervals. Interface with client QA departments and attend business reviews to coordinate client activities. Prioritize complex, material, and multi-functional risks; develop governance over risk treatments and business continuity plans. Respond to environmental control alarms during after-hours coverage and guide actions of partner departments for product protection. Other duties as assigned.
