What You’ll Be Doing As a member of CIBC’s Windows Engineering team, you will maintain our diverse HCI and VMware environments. In this role you will collaboratively understand product‑specific priorities, execute plans, develop and drive strategies to keep the Windows environment current, ensure sufficient capacity, and conduct regular refresh cycles. You will provide technical leadership and share best practices during design, build, configuration, testing, implementation, and maintenance phases. Additionally, you will deliver Level 3 support to troubleshoot hardware and software malfunctions, resolve operational issues, and restore services efficiently. How You’ll Succeed Leadership & Communication – Collaborate with senior leaders across the company, weigh business needs against technology offerings, and provide recommendations that improve the user experience. Governance – Contribute to governance initiatives, develop policies, and provide guidance to clients within and outside your department. Engineering – Lead evaluation, selection, and implementation of new products and techniques; support business/technology proposals by estimating costs and evaluating options. Technical Expertise – Provide senior‑level technical consulting, subject‑matter expertise, and manage the lifecycle of technologies. Who You Are Demonstrated experience in designing, implementing, and supporting Windows‑server‑based solutions, with deep knowledge of SCCM, Azure Arc, Windows Server patching and vulnerability remediation, SCOM, Active Directory/Group Policy, and Server Hardening.
