Role Overview Butterfield & Robinson’s Travel Advisors manage all scheduled sales leads for their designated regions and travellers. Their primary objective is to drive new and incremental bookings, enhance traveller retention, and deliver the highest level of personalized service. Working collaboratively with Region Directors, the operations team, and the broader sales team, Travel Advisors play a key role in shaping the sales strategy and ensuring seamless execution of each traveller experience. They contribute to all aspects of the sales department, ensuring that every traveller experiences the exceptional service and world-class journeys that define Butterfield & Robinson. The role has the followingResponsibilitiesand Objectives Drive Sales & Customer Loyalty – Increase revenue and retain loyal travellers by demonstrating travel expertise and delivering the highest levels of front-line service. Manage Travel Inquiries & Convert Leads – Identify, respond to, and guide travel inquiries toward successful bookings, ensuring seamless transitions from initial interest to completed bookings. Stay Informed on Travel Trends – Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of regional travel opportunities across assigned trips and the broader trip collection while staying up to date on consumer, competitor, and market trends to optimize sales strategies. Develop & Execute Sales Strategies – Build and implement creative, results-driven sales strategies that focus on brand expertise, traveller experience, and conversion optimization, while identifying areas for improvement. Ensure Smooth Booking Transactions – Complete all related administrative tasks accurately and efficiently to finalize bookings, manage payments, and provide travellers with a seamless experience. Collaborate on Marketing & Sales Efforts – Work closely with Region Director(s) and the Director of Scheduled Sales for assigned regions to monitor marketing presence, track sales activities, and support strategic decision-making to enhance conversion rates. Act as a Brand Ambassador – Promote the company’s vision, drive sales through relationship‑building, and increase brand awareness by participating in tradeshows and industry events as needed. Align with Business & Revenue Goals – Work cross‑functionally to ensure sales strategies and objectives directly support the company’s overall revenue and growth targets. Contribute to Sales Innovation & Optimization – Collaborate with the travellerExperience team to develop new sales approaches, enhance the booking process, and maximize travellers satisfaction. Additional Responsibilities – Perform other duties as required to support business objectives and sales operations. This role may require late shift responsibilities, beyond standard office hours. The role requires the followingExperience & Qualifications: Proven sales experience in the travel industry, preferably in a luxury service environment. Demonstrated success in consultative sales, with a track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets. Deep knowledge of luxury travel destinations, experiences, and services, and preferably the business of Butterfield & Robinson. Experience working in CRM and travel booking systems. Passion for travel and firsthand experience in luxury travel, with a global perspective and cultural awareness. This role requires the following Skills&Characteristics: Exceptional customer service skills in sales, focused on delivering outstanding travel experiences. Passionate about travel, inspiring clients through expert recommendations and in-depth knowledge. Strong relationship‑building and interpersonal skills to foster trust and long‑term client engagement. Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal, with confidence in engaging travelers. Highly organized multitasker, able to prioritize and manage competing deadlines. Dedicated to delivering exceptional service, ensuring every traveler feels valued. Collaborative team player, fostering cross‑departmental cooperation. Detail‑oriented and proactive, ensuring seamless follow‑through. Proficient in MS Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook. Self‑motivated and forward‑thinking, always anticipating the next step to enhance efficiency and client satisfaction. Note that commission earnings for this position are based on individual sales results in accordance with the company’s commission plan. Total compensation will vary depending on performance.
