Your role involves developing our platform’s flight control laws, and flight control systems. As flight controls are the brains of the platform you will interface with almost every other area of expertise – as a result you will be dealing with complex and often competing requirements to develop a unique system.As we’re a small team, there is significant scope for you to advance your career and learn about adjacent disciplines.Your Day- to-Day:Design of flight controls, CONOPS, requirements, and analysisImplement requirements for the flight control systems, sensors, and algorithmsDevelop creative solutions to verify complex systems and softwareImprove the capabilities of our flight simulator and environment modelsImplement and test the flight control system, and evaluate performanceStay up to date with, and implement the latest developments in your fieldDrive the continuous improvement of our processes to increase safety and efficiencyWe are looking for people that will have the following qualifications and experiences: Demonstrated experience (5+ years) in a Flight Control Laws role. You will have strong knowledge of vehicle dynamics and control theory (ideally in an EVTOL development), and you will have familiarity with eVTOL Certification regulations from the TCCA, FAA, and EASA. You will have a high proficiency in modelling tools.About Your Future Team.As part of the team, you will tackle challenges and deliver something that has never been done before. The team is currently full of multi-skilled individuals who are some of the first Engineers to have joined Horizon.
