For those who thrive in an energetic environment and want to be part of something meaningful, CPAIPW offers a chance to grow and make a difference.Core ValuesLet’s Go - We are motivated to take action today.Raise the Bar – We take the initiative to improve everything we do.Anything is Possible - We approach obstacles with an open mind.We are Good People - We make a positive impact every day.Key ResponsibilitiesCore Accounting & Financial OperationsOversee our 3rd party bookkeeper, reviewing accounts payable, vendor payments and payroll transactions.Maintain accounts receivable, including deposits, processing payments (e.g., pre-authorized debits), and reconciling payment entries in the system.Oversee general ledger maintenance, post journal entries, and manage schedules and reconciliations (prepaids, fixed assets, investments etc).Prepare ad-hoc partner remittances and employee reimbursements in Plooto.Review general ledger activity for accuracy and completeness.Work cross-functionally to enhance workflows and optimize operations.Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes.Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial and KPI reporting.Prepare quarterly performance reporting for the Board.Conduct variance analysis on budgets versus actuals.Support the year-end audit as the primary contact.Assist in the creation of budgets and financial forecasts.Maintain budgets and forecasts, providing variance analysis between actual and budgeted.Monitor cash flow status, ensuring adequate liquidity for operations.Develop dashboards, reports and business intelligence solutions for clear visibility into and reporting of key business metrics.Ensure the accuracy and quality of all data outputs.Improve data quality, consistency, and usability across reports.Automate recurring reports where possible to improve efficiency.Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.CPA or CFA an asset.5+ years of progressive experience in accounting, with skills in financial reporting, budgeting, variance analysis, and audit preparation.Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.High-level proficiency in Quickbooks Online. Experience with Dext, Plooto and Wagepoint as asset.Strong analytical, attention to detail and problem-solving skills, especially with large datasets from multiple systems.Demonstrated experience implementing dashboards and other reporting tools.Proactive, curious, and solution-oriented mindset.Background in the insurance or finance industries an asset.If you are looking for an opportunity to apply your accounting and analytical skills in a role where your insights and ideas will truly matter, we’d love to hear from you. #J-18808-Ljbffr
