Career Opportunities: Materials Recycling Facility (MRF) Operator (4967)We are seeking adedicated and self-sufficient Material Recovery Facility Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for receiving, sorting, and baling recyclables, ensuring efficient and accurate processing of materials. Additionally, you will coordinate all outgoing loads, maintaining clear communication with transporters and management to ensure timely and organized shipments. This role requires strong communication skills, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to operate and maintain equipment while ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
Location: 106 Westhunt Road, CarpVacancy Type: NewKey Responsibilities:Receive, sort, and bale recyclable materials efficientlyCoordinate all outgoing loads and maintain shipping schedulesOperate balers, forklifts, loaders, and other heavy equipment safelyPerform routine maintenance and minor repairs on equipmentMonitor material streams for contamination and ensure finished bales meet quality standardsMaintain accurate records of processed materials and quality checksFollow all health, safety, and environmental regulationsReport hazards, incidents, and equipment issues promptlyDemonstrate responsibility, reliability, and the ability to work independentlyQualifications & Skills:Previous experience in recycling, waste management, or industrial operations preferredAbility to operate heavy equipment and perform basic maintenancePhysically capable of climbing in and out of equipment repeatedly and lifting up to 50 kgStrong verbal and written communication skillsAttention to detail for contamination checks and quality standardsComfortable working in a fast-paced, outdoor/industrial settingAbility to work independently with occasional weekend dutiesCompensation Information:The expected salary range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00 per hour. Placement within the range is dependant on a variety of factors including qualifications and experience.
