OneStream Architect

We are seeking a OneStream Architects to join our team Architects will be responsible for directly participating in requirement gathering and design sessions for specific client implementation projects as well as helping to guide & ensure QA on the build, testing, and deployment phases of these OneStream business solutions. Architects will work closely with Consultant’s to help guide/develop them and communicate, review, and hold them accountable to Ascend architecture, quality standards, and methods that help facilitate high quality, on-time, and in-scope delivery on the projects they are assigned to. They will communicate with Project Managers as required to understand issues on the projects they have been assigned to.Simultaneously, an Architect may also be assigned to projects and be responsible for requirement gathering, design, build, testing, and deployment of business solutions on the OneStream XF platform for specific client implementation projects. In these cases, they will work as both an Architect and Project Lead on the project. Therefore, in these cases, they will follow the job responsibilities of a Principal Consultant as well (see this job profile for details).Architects will be the first point of contact for the Consultants to review functional and technical design and quality issues. They may assist with complex client discussions and follow up on functional and/or technical design issues.Position & ResponsibilitiesTechnicalDevelop and communicate specifications for various application Architecture & QA standards to Consultant’s and other Team resources and clients as required.Coach team members as required to ensure technical and QA standards are being checked and enforced in their applications.Review application/system design and documentation to support Application Delivery team members in the sameFacilitate various levels of project meetings with project team membersLead and participate in Business Analysis and Process improvementsAct as the point of escalation for complex functional and/or technical support during and after implementation as may be requiredDevelop and maintain subject matter expertise in both Ascend’s and OneStream’s tools, methodologies, and services.Continue to learn and apply various functional accounting terms, rules, and processes that are required to effectively communicate with clients on projectsView new learning opportunities enthusiastically for oneself and their team and gather knowledge to improve skills and capabilities.CommunicationParticipate in requirements and design sessions and help guide Consultants in organizing and building these artifactsCommunicate complex technical information to technical and non-technical individuals to ensure alignment with requirements, design, and implementation quality standardsProvide experience and guidance to Project Managers and Application Delivery Team members on the best ways to build complex design items and manage the build of application elementsProvide regular updates to team members and/or more senior staff on the status of projectsProvide guidance and assistance to more junior resources when required or requestedCollaborate with various teams to provide influence and attain buy-in to solution executionClientCollaborate as required with key Client contacts & Consultants to ensure all design and implementation criteria are metParticipate in regular team meetings as required, ensuring that ongoing continuous improvement goals are being met and accountabilities are communicated to team membersProvide training and ongoing support to internal team and client personnel as requiredMust be willing to travel and work from various business locations and remotely as applicableQualityReview and provide feed on key Project Documents (Requirements, Design, Testing)Follow required tools and templates to track the quality of all applicationsComply and demonstrate to team members all quality and industry standardsComply with all Ascend standards, tools, and methodologies and track to ensure that quality and agreed-upon client requirements have been met on each assigned projectAct as a coach, subject matter expert, and valued contributor on all assigned projectsWelcome constructive criticism and feedback from team members and the Leadership teamFinanceUnderstand SOW scope on projects and assist with design and execution to ensure quality solutions within scope and budget* All other duties as assignedQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related fieldMinimum of 6 years experience in EPM/CPM project implementation with OneStream or Oracle Hyperion Computer ApplicationsMinimum of 6 years experience working in finance organizations with a focus on accounting and systemsMinimum of 6 years experience in leading structured projects and/or software package implementationsOneStream Architect CertificationProfessional Designation in Project Management, Accounting, Finance, or Information TechnologyA valid passport, driver’s license, and insuranceSkillsAdvanced data manipulation skills using Excel, SQL, and Visual BasicExpert-level experience with MS Office and data modeling skillsExcellent communications skills including both verbal and written with the proven ability to communicate difficult messages and negotiate complex situationsExcellent organization and time managementStrong problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skillsMust be results driven with an entrepreneurial mindsetAbility to prioritize and multitask tasks effectivelyAble to creatively problem solve with a strong focus on resourceful thinkingTake initiative, be willing and eager to learn, and be self-motivatedAbility to develop and deliver training sessions to groupsLeadership skills and ability to manage competing priorities under tight deadlinesMust be team-oriented and able to work in a collaborative environmentActively seeks knowledge and experience and shares their experience with othersAble to travel to the USA and internationally as requiredAbout AscendAscend Partners, a trusted advisor in Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) consulting, proudly serves our clients globally from our headquarters in New York, NY.
