OverviewThe salary range for this position is CAD $41.42/Hr. - CAD $55.91/Hr. BCIT Critical Care Program. Pre-requisite by distance (NSCC 7120, 7150, 7220 - 24 weeks) June 29 - Dec 13, 2026; Pre-Requisite Release Days (2 days paid) Sept 23 & Oct 21, 2026; CTF Jan 4 - March 20, 2027 (dates are tentative). This is an opportunity for Registered Nurses (RNs) to pursue a specialty Certificate through the BCIT Critical Care Program. Providence Health Care provides 100% funding for the tuition, books, and wage. Upon successful completion of the program, you will work in the Critical Care Department (Heart Centre) at St. Paul’s Hospital. Reporting to the Operations Leader, the Registered Nurse.ResponsibilitiesAssesses, identifies, plans, implements and evaluates the nursing care required to assist patients/residents in meeting their physical, social, spiritual and psychological needs using an established framework for nursing practice.Develops, implements, evaluates and revises the plan of care.Incorporates individual and/or group teaching into the care plan and nursing interventions and/or makes referrals to other identified resources.Supports other nurses and health care professionals by collegially sharing information and demonstrating procedures.The Registered Nurse works within an interdisciplinary clinical framework in accordance with the BCCNM Standards of Practice and consistent with the mission, vision and values and established protocols of Providence Health Care.If you are interested in pursuing specialty training in the Critical Care Department at St Paul\'s, apply todayEducation and ExperienceCurrent practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).Eligibility for Post-Basic Education is open to applicant(s) with a minimum of 1-2 year medical/surgical experience (2 years preferred) and who have not received Post-Basic Education Funding from PHC for the past 2 years.
