This multifaceted role will have a direct impact on maintaining the company’s integrity and reputation while working closely with business leaders to ensure compliance in all aspects of our operations.Company Perks and RewardsCompetitive Salary and BonusExtended work remote optionsCollaborative and supportive company cultureProfessional development and mentorship opportunitiesThe JobAs a Senior Compliance Officer, you will be an integral member of compliance team with wide range of responsibilities to help maintain the regulatory environment.Key ResponsibilitiesReview and update compliance policies, procedures, and controls to mitigate risk and maintain the company’s commitment to best practicesIdentify, assess, and manage compliance risks within operational processes and provide recommendations to senior management on risk mitigation strategiesSupport and provide compliance insights during organizational transformation initiatives, ensuring that new processes or business models remain compliantProvide regular compliance reports to senior leadership, highlighting key risks and areas of concernContinually assess current processes and recommend appropriate enhancements to improve or adapt to changing business or regulatory requirementsRespond to assigned customer complaintsReview proposed marketing initiatives for adherence to regulatory and compliance policiesAct collaboratively with other business units to render a compliance service that supports the development of good quality business practices, and which protects and enhances the company brandPerform ad‑hoc and planned topic‑targeted reviews to monitor and test the company's adherence to regulatory requirementsAssist in administration of the company’s AML programWork collaboratively with all Compliance Services peers and assist in the execution of their mandates where neededWhat you bring to the jobYou are someone with excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail. You also come with the following:3-5 years of experience in a compliance role within a Fintech, banking, or financial services environment, with a strong understanding of Canadian regulatory frameworks (National Policy, FINTRAC, AML, PIPEDA)At least three years’ experience of investigating and formally responding to customer complaintsRelevant post‑secondary diploma or degreeSuccessfully completed or registered in the Canadian Investment Funds CourseStrong critical thinking with the ability to solve compliance‑related challenges in a fast‑paced, evolving environmentStrong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex regulatory requirements to non‑compliance staff and senior managementOptions Consulting Solutions is an equal opportunity employer and welcomes applications from all individuals.
