Professor, Communicative Disorders Assistants St. Lawrence College is seeking experienced and motivated professionals for a part‑time Professorship in the Communicative Disorders Assistants program. The role is based primarily at our Kingston Campus, with occasional travel. Base pay range: CA$80.62/hr – CA$139.88/hr Start date: January 5, 2026 Posted date: October 31, 2025 Closing date: November 17, 2025 Courses REHA 1000: Adult Neurogenic Disorders and Rehabilitation 1 – focused on acquired neurogenic language disorders, aphasia, dysarthria, etc. CDAP 301: Child Language Acquisition and Related Disorders 2 – covers language disorders in preschool and school‑age populations, interventions, and the role of the CDA. Responsibilities Creating a positive learning environment that accommodates students’ diverse backgrounds and learning preferences. Using advanced technologies, digital learning methodologies, and an LMS to enhance student learning. Developing curriculum and assessment tools that are evidence‑based. Applying adult education principles to engage students actively. Keeping course and program curricula current and forward‑looking. Collaborating with learners, colleagues, interdisciplinary teams, and external partners. Engaging in the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning to build evidence‑based practice. Qualifications Education / Certification: Master’s degree in Speech‑Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders, accredited. Must be a member in good standing with CASLPO or equivalent body. Experience: Minimum 3 years clinical SLP experience, supervising or mentoring Communicative Disorders Assistants. Knowledge / Skills: Familiarity with the CDA scope of practice, interdisciplinary settings; expertise in language development, articulation/phonology, AAC, fluency, aural rehabilitation, or cognitive‑communication disorders; experience with LMS and virtual meeting tech; post‑secondary teaching experience; commitment to learner diversity; industry research participation; lifelong learning; student‑first mindset; global intercultural competence; knowledge of Ontario college system; alignment with college values.
