Ready to take the lead in strategic procurement?Carlson Construction Group is seeking an experienced Senior Buyer to join our team in North Vancouver. In this role, you’ll play a key part in delivering transformative civil and infrastructure projects while working in a collaborative, forward-thinking environment that values innovation and operational excellence. About the Role Reporting to the Procurement Manager, you will: Lead sourcing initiatives across direct and indirect categories Drive value creation, risk mitigation, and timely project delivery Shape procurement strategies and strengthen vendor relationships Champion continuous improvement across the organization Key Responsibilities Manage end-to-end procurement of goods and services across multiple business units Lead competitive bidding, contract negotiations, and vendor performance evaluations Build strong relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders Conduct vendor site visits to identify opportunities for improvement Collaborate with project teams to anticipate and meet procurement needs Serve as the subject matter expert on e-procurement systems and best practices Mentor and train team members to promote procurement excellence Support logistics coordination for timely and cost-effective delivery What You Bring 5–10 years of experience in centralized procurement, ideally in civil construction or infrastructure Expertise in category management, contract negotiation, and vendor development Proficiency in MS Office and Tier 1 ERP/CRM systems PMAC, SCMA, or equivalent certification (or currently pursuing) Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills A proactive, collaborative, and detail-oriented approach What We Offer Competitive Salary: $95,000 – $120,000 annually Company-Paid RRSP Contributions Performance-Based Bonus Eligibility Professional Development & Training Opportunities Paid Statutory Holidays Why Join Us?
