Apply today to join our team Job Overview As a Leadership Development Consultant, Medicine and Academic Affairs with Vancouver Coastal Health you will: Design, build, implement, evaluate and continuously improve the organizational educational programming targeted to VCH leadership medical staff to develop leadership capacity and skill in a variety of areas. Facilitate workshops and create learning materials related to leadership skills and functional knowledge to help people leaders and leadership teams develop their capacity and confidence to deal with issues that can arise in the work environments and to find solutions to build a healthy workplace. Engage key partners to inform education and development requirements, as well as the design, development and delivery of a multipronged and blended educational approach. Build and implement regional and local educational programs and systems for a variety of medical staff audiences and clinical contexts and integrate knowledge of leadership methodologies, tools and techniques into educational programming. Work closely with medical subject matter experts and collaboratively with Medical Quality Leadership & Practice and People team members, Medical Directors, Senior Medical Leaders, and Educators. Represent the team on internal/external working groups and committees as required. Demonstrated ability to apply comprehensive knowledge and skill in educational theory, research, technology and related best practices as well as an understanding of health care disciplines and networking abilities to support enhanced educational practices and programming. Utilizes adult learning principles and best practices in clinical settings to develop education programming. Develops and maintains strong relationships with key internal and external partners to promote and enhance services provided with sensitivity to diversity and indigenous lens. Practices the recognition, inclusion and support of all types and aspects of diversity at all stages of engagement, with an understanding of the issues faced by people from equity‑deserving groups.
