About the Job As a Support Specialist I, you’ll be the first point of contact for our customers—offering timely, empathetic, and technically sound support across multiple channels. You’ll leverage AI-powered tools to resolve issues faster, identify patterns, and contribute to continuous improvement. This role is essential to strengthening customer trust and delivering world‑class service through innovation, communication, and care. This position is based in our Saskatoon office and supports customers across weekdays and weekends. Your Impact As a Support Specialist I, you’ll collaborate with the Support Team and cross-functional partners to: Serve as the first point of contact for customer inquiries via phone, email, chat, and video Work weekend shifts as part of a consistent support schedule (with weekdays off) Leverage AI-powered support tools to respond quickly and accurately to customer requests Identify bugs or escalations and log them with clear, detailed context to ensure efficient resolution Contribute to internal and customer-facing documentation by validating and improving AI-generated drafts Provide real-time product walkthroughs and customer guidance using internal AI coaching tools Blend human empathy with AI capabilities to maintain high one-touch resolution and customer satisfaction Share customer insights and feedback with Product and Engineering teams to help shape future improvements Support customers in adopting Vendasta’s AI-powered tools to grow and retain their own customers What You Bring to the Table You bring 1–2 years of experience in customer service, technical support, or a related field—ideally within a SaaS or technology-driven environment. You are a strong communicator with excellent written and verbal skills (this is a non-negotiable for success in the role). You’ll also bring: A customer-first mindset and genuine interest in helping others Comfort working in a fast-paced, technical environment Experience with tools such as Zendesk, Atlassian, and Google Workspace Technical curiosity and the ability to troubleshoot, ask good questions, and learn quickly Exposure to AI-powered tools (e.g., smart replies, summarization, automation) or a strong desire to learn Bonus experience includes: SQL or BigQuery Postman or API testing tools Integration or automation support AI-driven platforms or workflows Candidates with limited direct experience but a relevant degree or strong technical aptitude may also be considered.
