CT Technologist - Diagnostic Imaging at Nova Scotia Health Authority Req ID: 208896 Location: Central Zone, Halifax Infirmary Robie Street Entrance - QEII, Halifax, Nova Scotia Department: DI Computed Tomography Employment type: Permanent Part‑time (80%) x 1 Posting Closing Date: 14-Jan-26 About The Opportunity Reporting to the Diagnostic Imaging Manager, the CT Technologist is responsible for the efficient operation of the CT scanners. They will organize and perform computed tomography examinations efficiently and professionally. The CT Technologist positions the patient to obtain high‑quality images; operates equipment safely while following radiation protection guidelines, practices sterile techniques when required, and performs clerical duties related to the handling of the customer. About You Travel to other sites may be required. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited School of Radiological Technology Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) certification Nova Scotia College of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Professionals (NSCMIRTP) licensure CAMRT CT courses or CT Imaging Certificate is an asset CT experience preferred IV experience preferred or willing to be trained in intravenous injection and will be required to use a contrast injector A high degree of mental, visual, and manual dexterity is required Works independently and as a healthcare team member to ensure exceptional patient care Effective communication and interpersonal skills Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred Hours Permanent part‑time position; 60 hours biweekly Call and shift work required, evenings, nights, and weekends Compensation and Benefits $38.74 - $47.50 hourly Successful candidates may be eligible for our benefits package which includes health, dental, travel, long‑term disability, and life insurance coverage as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
