Tenure-Track Faculty Position in Spatial Cognition and Interactional ModelingUniversité Laval – Faculty of Forestry, Geography, and Geomatics – Department of Geomatics Sciences.Job Description Develop and apply models that integrate human perception, cognition, and behavior in dynamic urban environments. Support the Canada Research Chair in Senseable Cities for Empowered Mobilities and contribute to inclusive land planning, mobility for people with disabilities, and urban resilience.Responsibilities• Lead original research in spatio‑temporal urban modeling, accessibility engineering, digital twin integration, and immersive visualization tools.• Secure funding and manage research projects in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.• Teach undergraduate, master, and doctoral courses in French and English, supervise students, and participate in teaching committees.• Perform administrative duties in the Department and Faculty and contribute to university initiatives.Qualifications• Ph.D. in geomatics, engineering, spatial science, or related discipline (post‑doctoral experience preferred).• Proven research record in human‑centered spatial modeling and interactive technologies.• Membership in Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec or equivalent engineering association is an asset.• Bilingual proficiency: teaching in French and command of English.Application ProcedureDeadline: 14 Nov 2025 5:00 PM EDT.Contact: Sylvie Daniel, Department Head – direction-geomatique@scg.ulaval.ca.Submission: PDF curriculum vitae, cover letter (max 3 pages), reference list (3 contacts), representative publications (3 items), teaching statement (max 3 pages).All documents must be emailed to direction-geomatique@scg.ulaval.ca.EEO StatementUniversité Laval is committed to equity, diversity, and excellence.
