Job Description The Department of Sociology announces the opening of a position for a full professor of Sociology to teach quantitative data analysis methods and social statistics. Responsibilities Teach classes in the fields of quantitative methods and social statistics; Teach sociology at undergraduate and graduate levels; Oversee graduate students; Conduct research in one of the major fields of sociology, including quantitative methodology. Selection Criteria Hold a completed PhD in sociology or a relevant discipline by January 5, 2026; Having completed undergraduate, graduate, or postgraduate studies in sociology will be considered an asset; Demonstrate proficiency in teaching quantitative methods, social statistics, and sociology at the three graduate levels; Prior teaching experience will be considered an asset; Prepare to teach the course Introduction to Introduction aux méthodes quantitatives en sociologie, which is taught in French, starting in the Fall 2026 semester or upon hiring; Demonstrate a robust track record of published work and completed research projects. Conditions Compensation in accordance with the current collective agreement.
