Posting Number STUDENT-26-04 Job Type Student, Temporary-Full-time, up to 4 Months, Non-Union Salary Range $19.32 to $26.31 per hour Posted Tuesday, December 23, 2025 Application Deadline Friday, January 23, 2026 at 4:00 pm The Opportunity The Legislative and Court Services Department is comprised of three branches: Legislative Services (Council Secretariat, Corporate Mail and Print Services, Vital Statistics, and Access and Privacy Services), Court Services (administration of justice), and Enforcement Services (administration and enforcement of municipal by-laws). Under the general guidance of the Supervisor of Enforcement Services, the Student Municipal Law Enforcement Officer enforces by‑laws pertaining to parking and a variety of other City matters such as nuisances, parks use, smoking, lawn watering, and fireworks. The officer patrols City streets to identify parking violations and investigate potential violations of other municipal by‑laws, playing an integral role in protecting the health, safety, order and comfort of residents and visitors of the City of Barrie by ensuring compliance with the City’s by‑law provisions.
