Responsibilities Providing nursing care to an assigned group of patients/residents according to established policies and procedures and the Standards of Practice for the Licensed Practical Nurses of British Columbia. Functioning as an independent practitioner while recognizing situations of increased patient acuity or care outside the scope of an LPN for collaborative support with an RN/RPN as appropriate. Assisting patients/residents in meeting their physical, social, spiritual, and psychological needs consistent with the mission, vision, and values of Northern Health. Participating in developing care plans, conducting assessments, implementing and evaluating interventions, documenting information and acting as an advocate for patients/residents. Participating in meetings including care conferences and assisting with orientation of new staff and students as required. Responding and reporting incidents according to established procedures and performing clerical duties as needed. Shift Rotation / Hours of Work 07:00 to 19:00, 19:00 to 07:00 (Rotating) About the Facility Mackenzie & District Hospital And Health Centre is a well-integrated facility providing acute and long-term care beds, emergency, medical imaging, mental health and addictions, home and community care, and a medical clinic. It is located in Mackenzie, British Columbia.
