Call Schedule Description: 24-hour on-call coverage is required for hospital inpatients, home care and long-term care residents, as well as for critical lab values. Currently, the on-call responsibilities are shared equitably among physicians in the community. Job Description The community of Estevan, located in Southeast Saskatchewan, is seeking a team orientated and professional family physician to join the health care team. The successful candidate will work within a multi-disciplinary team providing primary health care services to the community of Estevan and surrounding area, and will work collaboratively with other medical professionals to support the acute care and emergency services in the area. St. Joseph's Hospital , located in Estevan, is a fully accredited district hospital which provides the following services: Acute Care, Obstetrics Ward, Operating Room, Emergency Room, Dialysis Ward, full diagnostics including Laboratory, X-Ray, Ultrasound & CT Services. The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) is dedicated to learning and is a partner in the educational needs of medical students, residents, nursing staff, and allied health professionals.
