We are seeking an experienced Server Support Engineer to lead critical infrastructure upgrades and support tasks. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Windows Server environments, VMware virtualization, and automation tools, with a passion for delivering high-quality IT services in complex environments. Additional Information* The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Location is CAD $75k – CAD $80k/year & benefits (see below). The Role - Server Analyst - Intermediate Responsibilities: Perform upgrades of Windows Server from 2012/2016 to 2019/2022. Provision and support VMware ESXi 7.0 in environments with 20+ hosts. Support Windows Server 2019/2022 as a server support analyst. Manage resource capacities in VMware ESXi environments. Support hardware environments including HP Proliant Servers and HP Synergy Frames, and utilize HP OneView for management. Participate in patch management via tools such as Ivanti, SCCM, WSUS, or LCM. Automate routine tasks using PowerShell, Terraform, Ansible, or similar tools. Use ServiceNow or equivalent ticketing systems for Change, Incident, and Service Request Management. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, prioritize tasks, and deliver solutions within tight timelines. Requirements: Proven experience upgrading Windows Server OS versions and supporting VMware environments. Strong understanding of server hardware, virtualization, and automation. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and in a team environment. Open to work in rotational shifts. Preferred, but not required: Experience automating tasks within Windows and vCenter environments. Familiarity with HP server hardware and management tools. Previous exposure to complex multi-team environments and IT support operations.
