Job Title: Director Navigation & Intake & Director Recovery Pathways Location: Edmonton or Calgary Employment Type: Full Time Hours: 36.25 hours per week (8:15 AM – 4:30 PM, Monday‑Friday) Classification: Senior Manager Zone 2 (M42Z2) Closing Date: December 22 2025 Director Navigation and Intake Responsibilities Lead intake application coordination and navigation support services for individuals entering or seeking help through the CI program. Build operational processes with partners to support applicants and individuals needing addiction‑related guidance. Coordinate CI applications and ensure the Commission has complete timely information; collect records from multiple data sources as ordered. Provide navigation support and warm hand‑offs to individuals not eligible for the CI program. Lead and train staff ensuring alignment and coordination with the Recovery Pathways unit. Director Recovery Pathways Responsibilities Lead operational delivery of client recovery supports and system navigation throughout the CI program. Develop and refine processes with partners (e.g., Commission Recovery Alberta Technology & Innovation) to support client movement through treatment and recovery services. Coordinate client progress and reports for timely Commission hearings; share Commission Orders to guide service provider actions. Develop intensive case management for clients leaving the CI program and establish after‑care pathways. Lead mentor and cross‑train staff to ensure agility and compliance with legislative timelines. Qualifications University degree in Public Administration or a related field (Social Work, Psychology, Health Sciences, etc.) plus seven (7) years of progressively responsible related experience. Equivalencies may be considered with related/relevant education or experience based on the following: 1 year of education for 1 year of experience; or 1 year of experience for 1 year of education. Required Experience Strategic Planning and Project Management – Leading strategic initiatives and managing complex programs from inception to completion. Stakeholder Engagement – Working with partners, service providers and clients. Leadership and Staff Development – Leading, mentoring and developing high‑performing teams fostering an inclusive and results‑driven environment. Excellent Communication Skills – Written and oral communication skills including preparing business documents, briefing materials and presenting to senior leadership. Development & Delivery of Operational Processes. Assets Knowledge and understanding of Health and Privacy Legislation (Albertas health system, FOIP, Health Information Act). Case management experience. Hearing experience.
