Senior Technical Specialist, Applications Job Number: JR104786 Department: EO ENHANCE Ontario - Inpatient Team Job Category: Professional Hospital Location: EO Head Office Job Type: Permanent, Full time Number of Positions: 1 Hourly Rate: $51.805 - $60.055 Hours: Days Enabling Healthcare Across Networks of Central East (ENHANCE) Ontario (also referred to here as “EO”) is a not-for-profit corporate entity that provides centralized IT services to seven member hospitals across 14 sites. It manages shared digital assets and delivers high‑quality, safe patient care using the shared Epic Clinical Information System (“CIS”) to over 1.5 million patients in rural and urban communities of Central East Ontario. Job Description Act as the tier 2 support contact for application end‑users, identify and resolve application issues, lead testing of updates and new releases, and support operational committees with workflow design. Work closely with Principal Trainers to keep training materials current, review project status with leadership, and may provide on‑call support on a rotational basis. Responsibilities Acting as Tier 2 support contact for the application's end‑users Identifying issues that arise in their application area as well as issues that impact other application teams, and working to resolve them Participates and leads testing of application updates, enhancements, custom programming, and new releases/quarterly upgrades Supports operational committees and working groups with workflow design/optimization decision‑making by highlighting system capabilities, limitations, risks, etc. Works with Principal Trainers to maintain training materials and content in sync with build updates In collaboration with the Principal Trainer, analysts support application's end‑users Reviews the status of projects and issues on an ongoing basis with leadership Provides on‑call support on a rotational basis Requirements Clinical experience with pharmacy background or other clinical discipline (essential) Experience working with Epic® (Essential) Certified in Epic Willow Inpatient or Willow Inventory (preferred) Graduate of a Pharmacy degree from a recognized university (Highly Preferred) Minimum of two (2) years’ experience as a Hospital Pharmacist or Pharmacy Technician (Preferred) Clinical knowledge and familiarity with pharmacy workflows, including dispensing and clinical monitoring Critical‑thinking and problem‑solving skills, able to logically examine a problem and determine the root cause and course of action Take ownership over own work and have initiative to recognize tasks that need to be completed Asset / Key Competencies Ability to handle complex problems and provide highly innovative and creative solutions that achieve high‑quality business/clinical outcomes Ability to identify and communicate operational issues and drive resolution in an effective manner while ensuring high end‑user satisfaction Strong understanding of workflows and procedures related to the analyst’s relevant clinical area Highly self‑motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high‑pressure environment Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate information clearly and concisely with project leadership and stakeholders Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with internal and external stakeholders Ability and willingness to learn new software, systems, and processes Highly reliable, able to persevere in difficult situations, overcome obstacles, and work under time pressures Accommodation And Diversity Statement Enhance Ontario (EO) embraces and celebrates our community’s unique multicultural heritage and diversity.
