In this capacity, the Office Manager plays a crucial role of the day-to-day administrative functions and processes at a Long Term Community or Retirement Residence. This role is responsible for creating an enriching experience for both Team Members and Residents, fostering an environment where every individual feels valued and cared for. We offer a number of programs and benefits that support team members’ financial, personal and professional needs:A competitive salary and vacation packageHealth & Dental benefits programRRSP with employer matchShare Ownership and Reward Program (SOAR)Employee Share Purchase Plan with company matchContinuous learning and growth so you have the skillset needed to succeed and take on new challengesA welcoming culture that values diversity and differing perspectives, experiences and beliefsWhat You Will be DoingFacilitate the move-in and discharge processes for residents and their families, ensuring the completion and compliance of necessary documents such as contracts and power of attorney, adhering to both organizational and legal standardsHandle the processing of annual rent and additional charges to residents\' accountsGenerate billing for residents, and manage the reconciliation of invoices, payments, and tax documentsAssist residents in exploring financial assistance options, including access to power of attorney, public guardian trustee services, and the updating of health card and provincial documentsAddress and resolve financial inquiries or concerns from residents, their families, and vendors, escalating complex issues to higher management as neededKeep precise records, provide monthly reports, and explain any discrepancies in accounts receivable and payable transactionsOversee a petty cash system and a trust fund for petty cash disbursementsCreate and manage Purchase Orders and maintain purchase journalsCompile and submit bi-weekly payroll reports for timely payroll processingWho You AreEducated with a diploma in Business Administration, Accounting, or a related disciplineHighly skilled in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word), with a good understanding of HRIS, Yardi, and PCC systemsPossess exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail, consistently meeting deadlinesDemonstrates robust problem-solving abilitiesWell-versed in payroll processes, including time and attendance systems, and HR practicesKnowledgeable about collective agreements and employment legislation related to payBeneficial if you have previous experience in a healthcare environmentWhat You Need to KnowSienna Senior Living is committed to creating an inclusive environment where all team members and residents feel like they belong.
