Position Overview Experience Three (3) years clinical experience in acute care psychiatric nursing required (within the last five (5) years). Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate) Baccalaureate of Nursing or BSc of Psychiatric Nursing, or RPN with BA (major) in Psychology preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered. Certification/Licensure/Registration Current CRNM/CRPNM registration required. Active participation in professional associations e.g. Association of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (ARNM) preferred. Qualifications and Skills Scope of practice as documented in the Regulated Health Professions Act (RHPA)/Registered Psychiatric Nurses Act. Knowledge of relevant community agencies/programs required. Group therapy skills and crisis intervention skills required. Applicants will be assessed against the following selection criteria, as applicable to the position: experience, education, patient care and clinical knowledge/skills, leadership skills, communication and interpersonal skills, critical thinking and problem-solving skills, quality improvement, teaching skills, research knowledge, professional development and seniority.
