What we offer

Leading a team of five and reporting to the SVP Finance of Mattamy Homes Canada (“MHC”), the Director, FP&A will be responsible for providing the Mattamy Homes Canada leadership team with quantitative and qualitative decision support as well as partnership with the four operating divisions within the MHC business. This includes business planning, reporting, capital allocation and proactive financial analysis across the largest Homebuilding business in Canada.

What you'll do

  • Provide the Mattamy Asset Management (“MAM”) Executive Committee and Board of Directors with quantitative and qualitative decision support including reporting, proactive financial analysis and capital allocation recommendations for the MHC business.
  • Lead MHC's annual financial planning process, working directly with MHC's business segments to produce high-quality plans.
  • Generate relevant, timely and actionable reporting to support the MHC Leadership Team in decision support.
  • Champion process improvement and standardization across MHC's four operating divisions.
  • Support Mattamy Homes quarterly investor call by completing output for presentations and materials.
  • Analyze and interpret market data, industry reports and other materials for benchmarking and industry analysis.
  • Foster strong working relationships across all areas of MHC and with business partners in MAM and Mattamy Homes USA.
  • Coach, mentor and develop a team of five within the MHC Central Office FP&A team.
  • Lead and/or provide support for ad hoc projects as necessary.

What you bring

  • University Degree, with a focus in Finance or Accounting.
  • Accounting/Finance designation (i.e., CPA, CFA, CBV).
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in financial planning and forecasting, corporate finance, valuations or similar role at a medium to large organization.
  • Experience with financial planning and forecasting tools such as OneStream or Hyperion is a strong asset.
  • Experience accessing data from JD Edwards or comparable cross-industry ERP system is strongly preferred.
  • Excellent financial modelling and planning skills, with a track record and orientation towards continuous improvement.
  • Sound judgment, with the ability to critically analyze situations, problem-solve, and deal with ambiguity.
  • Strong customer focus with excellent relationship building and a collaborative working style.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of current Canadian accounting standards under ASPE.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Hands-on, detail-oriented with ability to think strategically.
  • The highest level of ethics and personal integrity.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, including PowerBI; ability to quickly learn and demonstrate functional competence with financial systems.
