Works on complex, high value tasks where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of various factors. Incumbents have decision-making authority and autonomy to deliver on assigned goals. Unusual problems are solved jointly with manager. May lead a work group or manage direct reports consisting of technical and support staff. The ideal employee will have a proven track record in sustainability program management, stakeholder engagement, and data analysis within a complex supply chain environment.Detailed DescriptionLead the development and implementation of a supplier sustainability program, including supplier assessments, audits and capacity-building initiativesEstablish clear sustainability expectations for supplier and monitor their performance using key performance indicators (KPIs) and reporting mechanismsEngage with suppliers to identify and mitigate sustainability risk, promote continuous improvement and foster collaborative partnershipsStrategy and ImplementationDevelop and implement a comprehensive supply chain sustainability strategy aligned with the company’s overall sustainability goals and industry best practicesSupport the development of overall corporate sustainability goals and targetsIdentify and prioritize sustainability initiatives across the supply chain, including areas such as carbon footprint reductions, waste management, circular economy principles, human rights and ethical sourcingDevelop and maintain robust sustainability reporting frameworks to track progress, measure impact and identify areas for improvements within the supply chain and other areas as requiredStay abreast of industry trends, emerging regulations and best practices in supply chain sustainabilitySupport and engage in the development and deployment of corporate sustainability strategyData Analysis, Reporting & EngagementCollect, analyze and interpret supply chain sustainability data to identify trends, measure performance and inform decision-makingDevelop reports, presentations and events to communicate sustainability performance to stakeholders including but not limited the corporate sustainability report, operational reports (eg. working groups, working hours), awards and assessmentsEngaged with additional stakeholders (eg. customers, employees, consortia) supporting sustainability programExcellent skills in Office Suite, Google Suite, or equivalentGood analytical and problem solving skillsExcellent attention to detailDeep understanding of supply chain management principles and practices.Strong knowledge of sustainability frameworks, standards, and reporting initiatives (e.g., GRI, SASB, CDP)Ability to work with a diverse set of partners, stakeholders, technologists, across the globe.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.Knowledge of circular economy principles and practicesExperience with life cycle assessment (LCA) methodology an assetPhysical DemandsDuties of this position are performed in a normal office environment.Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data.Repetitive manual movements (e.g., data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, etc.) are frequently required.Overnight travel may occasionally be requiredTypical ExperienceMinimum of four to six years of applicable experiencePreference to candidates with supply chain experienceTypical EducationBachelor’s degree in related field, or consideration of an equivalent combination of education and experience.Educational Requirements may vary by geographyNotesThis job description is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all duties and responsibilities of the position.
