Director of Business Development — Alberta Location: Calgary or Edmonton (hybrid, primarily in-office) Employment type: Full-time, leadership role Base salary: Minimum $110,000 + performance compensation Application: Apply directly through LinkedIn Job Overview XA Security is expanding across Alberta, and we’re looking for a Director of Business Development who can lead our growth strategy and build long-term relationships with clients who value professionalism, consistency, and human-first security solutions. This role is about more than closing deals. You’ll shape XA’s business development strategy, guide our sales approach across multiple divisions, and work closely with our Operations leaders to build security programs that deliver exactly what we promise. What You’ll Do Lead business development strategy across Alberta, with a focus on property security, construction, post-secondary, commercial, and mobile patrol accounts. Build and manage a high-quality pipeline of opportunities that align with XA’s strengths, values, and long‑term goals. Lead proposals, RFP responses, presentations, pricing strategy, and contract negotiations. Develop multi‑year relationships with key clients, executives, and industry influencers. Work closely with Operations to design service models that are realistic, consistent, and scalable. Support hiring, coaching, and mentoring of future BD team members as XA grows. Represent XA at industry events, networking functions, panels, and community engagements. Provide forecasting, KPI tracking, strategic insights, and quarterly growth plans to leadership. Travel between Calgary, Edmonton, and surrounding regions for client visits and opportunities. You’ll Thrive Here If You… Are consultative, not transactional.
