OverviewJoin to apply for the Construction Director role at AECOM.Mississauga, Ontario, Canada — on-site role.10 hours ago Be among the first 25 applicants.Job Description: AECOM Mississauga is hiring a Construction Director, Major Infrastructure Projects.ResponsibilitiesOverseeing and assuring the contractor’s construction works in compliance with the Construction Management Plan.Provide direction, guidance, and subject matter expertise with respect to constructability of design, construction planning, and execution of the works.Manage stakeholder relationships both internal and external to the program with respect to coordinating construction activities.Confirm the Contractor’s Construction Management Plan and associated execution plans.Provide management and executive level reporting with respect to construction activities.Ensure that the construction management team undertakes inspections in a timely and consistent manner across the program.Participate in monthly Program Progress Reviews and report against the required construction metrics to the Program Delivery Director.Coordinate with other Construction Directors to support delivery of construction works and logistics and program interfaces across overall Programs.Coach, mentor, and support the career development of staff.QualificationsMinimum RequirementsBachelor Degree in a relevant engineering discipline (civil, construction, etc.) + 12 years experience in construction4+ years of leadership experience10+ years of professional experience in large airport projects or equivalent infrastructure programs greater than CAD $2BNPreferred QualificationsIdeally 20+ years of professional experience in constructionIdeally 15+ years experience in a construction leadership roleAble to demonstrate significant expertise in construction management and/or applicable technical areas to deliver complex programsDemonstrated experience in managing large multi-party teams and assessing the competency requirements of the teamStrong technical capability in all project phases, including design, planning, construction, operations, and maintenance, preferably for large programs/projectsDemonstrable experience in managing senior stakeholder relationships and providing strategic level reporting to enable effective decision makingDemonstrable experience in leading complex construction delivery strategies and execution plansFamiliarity with working in collaborative project environmentsExcellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, including the ability to facilitate meetings/workshops with large groups of stakeholdersAdditional InformationThe position requires work on-site/out of the office 5 days a weekNo Sponsorship offered for this roleAbout AECOMAECOM is the global infrastructure leader, delivering a better world.
