What You Get To Do Provide “hand‑on” leadership to a team of Maintenance Shift Supervisors on a rotating shift‑based program. Lead the development, implementation and day‑to‑day supervision of maintenance programs, processes, people and documentation for efficient, high‑performing automated storage and retrieval systems, and storage and picking systems at customer locations. Build and maintain customer relationships, lead preventive and predictive maintenance programs, follow SOPs and safety policies, and provide frontline leadership for escalation procedures. Job Summary Manage a team providing first‑class maintenance support to the customer, focusing on automated storage and retrieval systems and picking systems. Have proven experience managing an on‑site maintenance team handling electro‑mechanical faults and preventive maintenance operations on automated materials handling equipment in a warehouse environment. Report to the Maintenance Operations Manager and be eager, safe‑conscious and determined, owning problems and driving them to completion. Respond to emergency calls as required. Supervisory Overview Provide leadership and guidance to Maintenance Shift Supervisors and the Resident Team. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with organizational policies and applicable laws. Interview, hire, train and develop the site team; plan, assign and direct work; evaluate performance; reward and discipline employees; address complaints and provide appropriate resolutions. Essential Functions and Responsibilities Provide complete customer satisfaction and enhance the company’s reputation. Achieve rapid and effective support, manage site budgets and commercial activities. Match tasks with team skill‑sets to ensure delivery of defined SLA. Act as on‑site representative for all system improvements and installations. Manage all training requirements, both technical and regulatory. Develop on‑site staff and resources; increase support solution scope and efficiency. Work against timeframes to complete reactive repairs and coordinate daily activities of all personnel. Promote effective health & safety practices and conduct risk assessments. Provide monthly summaries and detailed reports covering commercial and technical activities. Optimize resource utilisation through adoption of industry best practices. Implement system security policy and maintain excellent customer satisfaction while achieving commercial returns. Chair internal Maintenance Team review meetings and resolve resourcing issues beyond Supervisors’ control. Respect cultural diversity and align maintenance objectives. Education & Experience Degree in Business Management, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent work experience. 5–10 years of progressive experience as Maintenance Repairman, Maintenance Electrician, Machine Repairman or Industrial Maintenance Engineer leading to a supervisory or managerial role. Leadership experience repairing various machinery systems, including electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems. Verbal and written communication in English; bilingual in Spanish or German preferred but not required. Semi‑advanced to advanced technical understanding. Working Conditions and Environment Weekends and overtime as required. Professional office etiquette required at all times. Up to 10% travel may be required. Authorization to work in Canada is required. Physical requirements: sitting, squatting, walking, reaching, lifting 50–100 lb, reading.
