We are looking for a Senior Cost Controller to monitor budgets and support project management with reliable financial data and controls.What you will doBe responsible for the dissemination, explanation and monitoring of good compliance with the Consortium’s Management Methods.Maintain constant liaison with the Works, Procurement and Accounting teams to ensure that expenses are properly allocated and thus ensure consistent management.Prepare the budget summary for its scope. Ensure consistency of budgetary data and assumptions.Ensure the reliability of operating results by analysing the amounts to be spent, the quantities implemented, the key ratios and their evolution; manage changes in billing differences, operating disputes, equipment, unsettled orders, staff and hourly staff scores, and accrued expenses.Ensure proper management of the entity by analysing the monthly financial report and general expenses (staff costs, operating costs), and take into account possible social risks, environmental factors, compliance with framework contracts negotiated by Purchasing, and discrepancy accounts (material, personnel).Act as a vigilant partner to the Administrative and Financial Director of the Consortium and the Project Management in general.Respond to requests for analyses and summaries from Project Management in the field of management control.Participate in the management of skills of all teams and lead training on essential points of management and use of information systems.Work with project managers to establish and enter budgets into the system.Qualifications10+ years of experienceConstruction experience is an assetAutonomyAbility to anticipate and plan priority tasksGood listening skills and a spirit of synthesisWhy joinRRSP with up to 5% employer matchingHybrid work model for corporate rolesEmployee stock ownership programCareer growth through real development opportunitiesTransit pass reimbursement — get to work for freeMinimum 4 weeks of vacation from day oneFor the past four years, we have proudly held the distinction of being one of Canada’s Top 100 Employers.About PomerleauPomerleau is a national leader in construction, delivering major projects across Canada.
