With decades of expertise and a focus on delivering value to our customers, we are growing and looking for a dedicated Service Technician.Position OverviewWe are currently seeking a skilled and dependable Service Technician to join our team in Portage la Prairie. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, inspecting, repairing, and maintaining agricultural equipment. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, with a focus on safety, quality, and customer service.Key ResponsibilitiesDiagnose and inspect equipment for faults and malfunctions.Perform mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic repairs.Conduct equipment updates, pre-delivery, and pre-season inspections.Complete detailed work orders and technician notes.Operate machinery for testing and diagnostics.Maintain a clean and safe work environment.Follow all OH&S safety standards.Collaborate with the service team and report to the Service Manager.QualificationsJourneyman certification preferred, but equivalent experience accepted.Solid knowledge of agricultural equipment repair methods and tools.Proficient in troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.Valid driver’s license required.Experience using diagnostic software and systems.Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.Dependable, customer-focused, and team-oriented.Physical RequirementsRegular standing and frequent walking, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.Ability to lift and move parts up to 50 lbs consistently.Must be able to work on your feet for the duration of the shift.Occasional vehicle and heavy equipment operation.Requires hand-eye coordination and good visual focus.Work EnvironmentLoud indoor environment with frequent exposure to machinery.Occasional outdoor work and exposure to mechanical vibrations.Possible exposure to high temperatures, fumes, and chemicals.PPE required at all times.What We OfferCompetitive salary commensurate with experience.Comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision.Registered Retirement Savings Plan matching program.Opportunity to lead and grow a key department within a reputable and expanding company.Ongoing professional development and training.A positive, team-oriented work environment with a focus on employee success.Ready to Apply?If this sounds like the perfect role for you, submit your application today We can’t wait to welcome you to our team.We embrace diversity and inclusion for innovation and growth.
