Housekeeping, Laundry & Maintenance Lead 1 week ago Be among the first 25 applicants Job Description The Housekeeping, Laundry and Maintenance Lead supervises cleaning and laundry activities of staff at a Long-Term Care facility in Tavistock. The Lead also performs standard minor maintenance and ensures that facility equipment is in proper working order. Job Responsibilities Determine the needs of the clients' operation and ensure that the appropriate Aramark resources are engaged. Achieve high standards of quality service, cleanliness and sanitation in accordance with legislative requirements. Manage a team of 12 staff, scheduling, training, orientation, appraisals; manage call-ins. Conduct departmental rounds to ensure all safety, emergency, building and support systems are functioning properly. Coordinate maintenance and repairs with outside contractors for electrical, plumbing, heating, cooling, fire panels and alarm systems. Ensure outside work is performed such as snow removal, salting, grass cutting, gardening. Ensure the adequate stock of housekeeping supplies and equipment; conduct inventory counts and place orders as required. Participate in committee meetings on Infection Control, Quality Management, Occupational Health and Safety. Participate in budget preparation and control process for 3 departments. Participate in the On Call rotational schedule as required. Qualifications Requires 3-5 years of related experience and 1-2 years experience in a management role. Knowledge of facilities, HVAC equipment, building management systems, fire alarm and sprinkler systems. Ability to manage a budget. Computer skills including Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Outlook Mail. Ability to read and interpret building prints and drawings. Ability to work On Call during rotational schedule.
