Title: Housekeeping, Laundry & Maintenance Lead Requisition #: 624438 Location: Tavistock, ON, CA, TBD Career Area: Professional & Management Job Description The Housekeeping, Laundry and Maintenance Lead is responsible for supervising the cleaning and laundry activities of staff at a Long-Term Care facility in Tavistock. The Housekeeping, Laundry and Maintenance Lead is also responsible for performing standard minor maintenance, and ensuring the facility equipment is in proper working order. Job Responsibilities Determine the needs of the clients' operation and ensure that the appropriate Aramark resources are engaged. Achieves high standards of quality service, cleanliness and sanitation in accordance with legislative requirements Manages a team of 12 staff, scheduling, training, orientation, appraisals; manages call-ins Conducts departmental rounds to ensure all safety, emergency, building and support systems are functioning properly Coordinates maintenance and repairs with outside contractors for electrical, plumbing, heating, cooling, fire panels and alarm systems. Ensures outside work is performed such as snow removal, salting, grass cutting, gardening Ensures the adequate stock of housekeeping supplies and equipment; conducts inventory counts and places orders as required Participates in committee meetings on Infection Control, Quality Management, Occupational Health and Safety Participates in budget preparation and control process for 3 departments Participates in the “On Call” rotational schedule as required At Aramark, developing new skills and doing what it takes to get the job done make a positive impact for our employees and for our customers. Qualifications Requires 3-5 years of related experience and 1-2years’ experience in a management role.
