We serve schools, hospitals, office buildings, senior living communities, tourist attractions, sports venues, remote camps and military installations across Canada and 50+ countries.Job DetailsStatus: Full-Time, SeasonalSchedule: Monday to Friday, 6-7 hrs/dayWage: $19.00/hrLocation: Elliot Lake Secondary School, Elliot Lake ONJob Summary: How will you make an impact:ResponsibilitiesEnsure weekly food orders are placed.Accurately count and record inventory monthly or as Operations Manager assigns.Cook the core menu, marketing specials and any other menus that fit into the operation and serving to the customers.Ensure positive client relationships and satisfaction.Cash handling and reporting – ring customers through the register, reconcile daily cash floats, make daily bank deposits, complete daily sales/cash reports including cash reports and cash register reports.Ensure the unit has strict compliance with the Compass Quality Assurance and Health and Safety Program, Occupational Health and Safety Act and WHMIS regulations.Ensure food ingredients are stored in their designated area and rotated in the proper manner.Recommend and implement preparation to reduce costs and supervise all kitchen personnel to ensure correct methodologies are followed.QualificationsPrevious cooking experience and strong supervisory skills, capable of motivating, leading and developing associates.Sound knowledge of financial management including the ability to control food and labour costs.Valid Food Handler Certificate or provincial equivalent.Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).Vulnerable Sector Check required.Excellent computer skills, knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel & Word).EEO StatementCompass Group Canada is committed to nurturing a diverse workforce representative of the communities within which we operate.
