We specialize in fisheries, wildlife, aquatic and terrestrial resources, environmental management, archaeology and cultural resources, land use planning, ground penetrating radar, and forestry.For more information about us, including our projects, please visit ecofor.ca .What Your Day Will Look LikeAs a Project Coordinator, you will support Project Managers by gathering information, coordinating resources, and tracking project progress to ensure timely and successful delivery. You will assist with document management, internal communications, and maintain compliance with regulatory and company standards. Your role will also include supporting business development activities and contributing to advocacy and community engagement initiatives. Additionally, you will help implement and maintain the Project Management Office (PMO) framework, promoting consistency and efficiency across projects.What You’ll be Responsible forYour key responsibilities include but are not limited to:Research and information gathering for equipment, property, and consumables.Schedule and manage project logistics.Promote a strong safety culture and work collaboratively within Ecofor’s corporate culture.Exemplify a high level of professionalism, integrity, and commitment to the objectives and values of Ecofor.Technical leadership and mentorship within a team environmentFostering positive relationships with local communities, Indigenous groups, governmental agencies and other partners.Promoting a strong safety culture and working collaboratively within Ecofor’s corporate culture.What Will Help You Succeed:Our ideal candidate has two to four years of experience in project coordination, with a project management certification (like PMP) considered an asset. You are organized, flexible, and able to manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines and adapting to changes. You have a basic understanding of environmental and heritage regulations, and are familiar with the historical, social, and political impacts on Indigenous communities, including frameworks like BC DRIPA and the TRC Calls to Action. You work well on your own and with others, including government and Indigenous partners. You are comfortable using Microsoft Office and project management tools like Monday.com, and a mix of education and experience will be considered.Certification in project management (e.g. PMP), preferredMinimum two (2) to four (4) years of direct experience in project coordinationA combination of education and experience may be consideredKnowledge of environmental and heritage regulations and principles.Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to coordinate on multiple projects simultaneously.Knowledge of the historical, social, economic, and political impacts on Indigenous communities and familiarity with Indigenous Cultural Safety and anti-racism initiatives and accompanying reports (BC DRIPA, TRC, etc.)Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and interpersonal skillsStrong adaptability and flexibility skills, adjusting project plans and timelines to respond to changing needs.Proven ability to work with diverse partners, including government agencies, community groups and Indigenous representatives.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, SharePoint and Word) and project management software (e.g. Monday.com)Position requires: Criminal Record Check & Valid Driver’s LicenseLastly, you will be joining us with the passion to contribute and believe in the work that we do.What We OfferAt Ecofor, we know that our people are our greatest strength. Final placement within this range will typically be between the minimum and midpoint and is determined based on each candidate’s unique combination of skills, knowledge, experience, and abilities.
