We workThe OpportunityWe are hiring an energetic, detail-oriented, and ambitious individual to join our team as an Entry-Level Project Coordinator / Estimator. This hybrid role offers a dynamic introduction to the construction industry, providing exposure to both field-based project coordination and office-based cost estimating. Whether your future is in project management or estimating, this is your launch pad.This is an ideal opportunity for someone who is:- A critical thinker who enjoys solving problems.- Proficient with computers and data management.- Passionate about learning construction from the ground up.- Driven to become the best in their craft.What You’ll DoEstimating Responsibilities- Perform quantity take-offs and cost estimates for labor, equipment, and materials.- Interpret design drawings and specifications to determine scope.- Solicit and compare subcontractor and supplier pricing.- Assist in developing competitive bids using estimating software (e.g., Bid2Win).- Support preparation of tender documents and project risk assessments.- Contribute to building critical path schedules and milestone planning.Project Coordination Responsibilities- Support superintendents and project managers on active sites.- Maintain documentation, site records, and daily reporting (photos, logs, cost data).- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal departments.- Assist in quality control, safety, and environmental compliance tracking.- Help manage materials procurement and as-built drawing updates.- Participate in site inspections and field operations.What We Offer- Comprehensive training and mentorship from seasoned professionals.- Exposure to projects in bridge construction, piling, highways, civil earthworks, and structural concrete.- Career development and promotion opportunities in estimating, project management, or field supervision.- Competitive salary and benefits package.- Travel opportunities across Canada (LOA provided for site work).- A strong, supportive company culture that values excellence and innovation.Qualifications- Recent graduate or early-career professional in civil engineering, construction management, or a related technical field.- Strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills.- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and continuous learning.- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Project, Outlook); estimating or scheduling software experience is a plus.- Must have a valid Class 5 driver’s license and be legally permitted to work in Canada.
