Senior National Property Claims Adjuster Apply for the Senior National Property Claims Adjuster role at Aviva Canada. What You’ll Do Support our claims customer demand through a phone and text line environment Investigate and negotiate various Complex Personal Lines Claims in accordance with Aviva’s claim procedures and guidelines Confirm coverage and compile FNOL information for incoming claims Stand as an expert and provide in‑depth claims guidance/advice to customers, peers and other stakeholders Ensure data accuracy and issue payments to vendors, insureds and experts Review and compile facts, policy, and technical reports, analyze estimates, evaluate claim value and negotiate/settle claim accordingly Advise and counsel customers on claim status, providing prompt and exemplary customer service while keeping related parties informed Complete all correspondence efficiently, including Critical Path, Proof of Loss, and reservation of rights letters Recognize questionable claims, subrogation, and risk opportunities; review case law to determine liability Meet Property team performance expectations and contribute to team success Adhere to attendance policies and support flexible scheduling, including rotating shifts 8:00 AM–8:00 PM Monday‑Friday and occasional Saturdays as needed Work in a hybrid model, balancing remote and office presence What You’ll Bring 5+ years of property claims experience, handling large losses and/or field tasks CIP designation completed or in progress, with at least one CIP course completed Atlantic licenses obtained Experience with first‑party commercial claims (building owner/tenant, business income, stock, cargo, builder’s risk, crime, equipment) across multiple industries Ability to work fast‑paced environments and support high customer demand Comfort dealing directly with key commercial clients and brokers on all claim‑related issues Computer proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Guidewire High level of prioritization and organizational skills Critical thinking and coordination with all stakeholders to achieve optimal outcomes Hardworking, self‑motivated problem‑solver with excellent oral and written communication skills Claims adjusting licenses in any province (asset, not required) Availability to assist during high‑volume catastrophes, evenings, and weekends as needed What You’ll Get Base compensation determined by job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience, plus eligibility for annual bonus Retirement savings plan, share plan, health benefits, personal wellness, and volunteer opportunities Outstanding career‑development opportunities and support for professional education Competitive vacation package with the option to purchase 5 extra days off per year Employee‑driven programs focused on gender, LGBTQ+, origins, diversity, and inclusion Corporate wellness programs supporting physical and mental health Hybrid flexible work model Seniority level Mid‑Senior level Employment type Full‑time Job function Finance and Sales Industries Insurance #J-18808-Ljbffr
