Intermediate National Property Claims Adjuster Join to apply for the Intermediate National Property Claims Adjuster role at Aviva Canada. You will be responsible for claim settlement via telephone, focusing on quality and customer service. You will work with premier property vendors to quantify claims and apply cost‑saving guidelines in the quantification of losses and expenses without compromising service delivery. What You’ll Do Support our claims customer demand through a call‑center environment Investigate and negotiate property claims in accordance with Aviva's claim procedures and guidelines. Confirm coverage and compile FNOL information for incoming claims. Ensure data accuracy and issue payments to vendors, insureds and experts. Review and compile facts, policy and technical reports, analyze estimates, value of claim and negotiate/settle accordingly. Effectively advise and counsel customers on claim status, providing prompt exemplary service and keeping related parties informed. Ensure all correspondence is completed efficiently, including creation of Critical Path, Proof of Loss and reservation of rights letters, etc. Recognize questionable claims, sub‑rogation and risk opportunities. Review case law to determine liability. Meet Property team performance expectations and contribute to team success. Adhere to and support policies surrounding attendance. What You’ll Bring 2+ years of property claims experience Experience handling Liability & Condominium claims CIP designation completed or in progress; must have completed at least one CIP course Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment to support customer demand Strong customer service background Excellent computer and organizational skills Excellent oral and written communication skills Bilingualism in English and French (asset) Knowledge of Cantonese, Mandarin, Korean & Punjabi (asset) Licenses for claims adjusting in any province (asset) What You’ll Get Compelling rewards package including base compensation, annual bonus eligibility, retirement savings, share plan, health benefits, personal wellness and volunteer opportunities.
