Join our Nurse Practitioner teamInterior Health is seeking a qualified Nurse Practitioner to join our team on a permanent basis in Castlegar, British Columbia. This role will provide comprehensive all-ages primary care, including individuals with mental health (MH) and substance use (SU) disorders, and care for individuals who are unattached to a primary care provider or referred from the Health Connect Registry (HCR). As part of an interdisciplinary team, you will deliver longitudinal, patient-centered care to this specialized population. While this is not an Opioid Agonist Treatment (OAT) clinic, you may provide OAT services to patients in your care. This position does not include outreach services; however, you may partner with outreach workers to support patients who face challenges accessing care on-site. You will work alongside another Nurse Practitioner to enable collaboration within a supportive and dynamic team environment, with opportunities to engage with community agencies and other healthcare professionals to deliver holistic, culturally safe care to patients.Salary Range: $74.74/hour - $82.21/hour. May admit and discharge patients per organizational policies.Prescribing Medication: Prescribe medications within legal and regulatory guidelines.Leadership and Supervision: Lead and guide other nursing and healthcare personnel; provide education, supervision, and performance evaluations.Research and Innovation: Contribute to research and initiatives to enhance patient care and influence health policies.Health Promotion: Lead health promotion activities and screenings for at-risk populations.Education and Mentorship: Facilitate interdisciplinary education, mentoring, and knowledge sharing.Policy Development: Develop, implement, and evaluate policies related to nursing and care practices.Palliative and Long-Term Care: Serve as the most responsible provider in palliative, hospice, and long-term care settings when required.Safety and Compliance: Adhere to Occupational Health and Safety guidelines and ensure training and incident investigation compliance.Additional Responsibilities: Perform other duties as necessary to support patient care and organizational goals. #J-18808-Ljbffr
