Overview The Department of Laboratory Medicine is seeking an experienced candidate to join its leadership team in the Core Laboratory. The ideal candidate should have a very strong background in Chemistry, and work experience in the Core Lab comprising the divisions of Chemistry, Hematology and Blood Bank. Qualifications CMLTO Registration required ART certification with CSMLS Registration is a definite asset Minimum of 10 years experience with at least 3 years in a supervisory position in Chemistry Department Excellent communication and inter-personal skills coupled with the ability to teach and motivate rotating technologists. Experienced in all aspects of Chemistry including Routine Chemistry, Immunochemistry and Point-of-care Proven ability to develop and introduce new methodologies. Experienced in method/reagent evaluation and instrument selection. Troubleshoots equipment and responds to technical issues. Establishes QC and preventive maintenance programs Familiarity with computer databases and laboratory information systems.
