Alamos employs more than 1,700 people and is committed to the highest standards of sustainable development.PositionAccounts Payable (AP) SupervisorReports toChief AccountantLocationRouyn-Noranda, QCRole Overview/PurposeReporting to the Chief Accountant, the AP Supervisor is responsible for the payable process for the Island Gold Division. The AP Supervisor will administer the daily invoice management process for AP Clerks, ensuring that invoices are processed in an accurate and timely manner. This person will oversee the payroll team of 3-4 personnel.Primary ResponsibilitiesManage daily invoice processing for AP Clerks, ensuring accuracy and timelinessPrepare cheque runs, wires, and EFTs to clear APEnsure invoice approvals and proper period recordingPrepare reconciliations and review journal entriesAssign priorities and tasks to AP team; resolve supplier and internal issuesFacilitate contractor holdbacks and administer lease payments, PO prepayments, and creditsOrganize supplier and EFT setup/approval; verify and investigate discrepanciesOversee and approve Accounts Receivable journal entriesEnsure adherence to Delegation of Authority and compliance standardsSupport digital transformation of AP processesInitiate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end AP processesPerform other related dutiesExperiencePreferredCollege or degree in accounting5 years of experience in accounts payableHighly proficient in computer skills and technologyStrong knowledge of Microsoft ExcelExcellent communication skillsStrong clerical, administrative and general office skills including attention to detail and rigorExcellent time management and organizational skills including ability to priorities and multitask effectivelyKnowledge of SAP is an asset #J-18808-Ljbffr
