Position: Intermediate Technologist or EIT Location: Nanaimo, B.C. Employment Type: Full-time permanent We are seeking a motivated Intermediate Technologist or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) on behalf of our client, an established and growing engineering consultancy in British Columbia. This role offers hands‑on involvement from project conception through construction. Some travel across Vancouver Island is required (typically less than 10% per week). You’ll work in a supportive, collaborative environment and contribute to meaningful infrastructure projects that benefit local communities. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail‑oriented, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team. What you’ll do: Support the design and delivery of municipal and transportation infrastructure projects Collaborate with clients, contractors, and internal project teams Prepare engineering plans, drawings, and cost estimates Develop designs using Civil 3D, AutoCAD, and related tools Complete design calculations for stormwater and sanitary sewer systems Assist with tender packages, contracts, and construction documentation Perform construction inspections and support project budgeting and scheduling What we’re looking for: Diploma in Civil Engineering / Engineering Technology (AScT or eligible), or a B.Sc. in Civil Engineering (EIT‑eligible with EGBC) 3+ years of experience in municipal or transportation engineering Working knowledge of Civil 3D and AutoCAD Understanding of the engineering design process Assets: Municipal and/or transportation design experience; Familiarity with MMCD standards; Experience in projects of varying size and complexity.
