Job Title: PharmacistLocation: Brampton Ontario, CanadaJob Type: Full-Time, Permanent, On-siteEarning Range: $105k - $115kDescription:As our pharmacist, you will compound and dispense prescribed pharmaceuticalsand provide consultative services to both clients and health care providers.Job Duties:Below are some of the main activities and tasks that you will perform:Check prescriptions for proper dosageCompound prescribed pharmaceutical products by calculating, measuring and mixing the quantities of drugs and other ingredients required and filling appropriate containers with correct quantityDispense prescribed pharmaceuticals to customers or to other health care professionals and advise them on indications, contra-indications, adverse effects, drug interactions and dosageMaintain medication profiles of customers including registry of poisons and narcotic and controlled drugsEnsure proper preparation, packaging, distribution and storage of vaccines, serums, biologicals and other drugs and pharmaceuticalsOrder and maintain stock of pharmaceutical suppliesAdvise customers on selection and use of non-prescription medicationRenew existing prescriptions in limited circumstancesMay adapt the formulation, regimen, duration or route of administration of medicationMay be required to supervise and coordinate the activities of other pharmacists, pharmacy assistants, pharmacy technicians and other staff.Develop information materials concerning the uses, properties and risks of particular drugsEvaluate labeling, packaging and advertising of drug productsPromote pharmaceutical products to health professionals.Qualifications:Certification by the Ontario College of Pharmacists (OCP) and in good standingExcellent communication and interpersonal skills.Commitment to ongoing medical education.Ability to manage a diverse range of health issues in patients of all age groups.High on discipline, punctuality, courtesy, ethics, have a strong moral compass and you are compassionate.What we offer:Respect from colleagues and patients.
